Movements: A story of inspiration
Thank you for your interest in “Where’s the Movement?” The question is meant to be interpreted and asked in a multitude of ways, forms, expressions, and applied in every possible fashion… My intention is that it be an ongoing, never-ending quest and question. E.g. Is that thing moving over there? Is there a “Movement” going on? Where are you moving to? What are you moving for? What moves you? Is the Movement benefiting you? Movements you should be aware of… Movements that have ended, been disregarded, discarded, -kaPUT! What moves those you love? What moves those around you? Is there a Movement you want to know more about? Is there…

The Gentle Hollow
My sprouts are growing… the leaves on the trees swivel and float in the breeze. The gentle hollow, home to fledglings, 20+ bird species, countless squirrels, and other rodents, plus the occasional raccoon, coyote, or white-tailed deer. I have had some bad news this week. The worst one can in my job occupation – aside from a fatality or successful suicide attempt. This morning I received some good news – the best of times, the worst of times… that is now. Tomorrow I start back at bus, with 6 hours of re-training before they send me out to do work. After which I will do bus each day as an…

Dream People & Self Learning
After a troubling few encounters in my current profession this last week I had come to realize – yet again – that no one had my back when I needed them to. Not only that, but I would need to learn to define for myself the gray areas when people are harassing me and how much I can or should tolerate before calling it a day and having someone else deal with it (safety risk assessment… but also a personal one) Sometimes these days are accompanied by dreams, but sometimes these dreams come later or much later. In a recent dream where I was designated to arrange or complete a…

Seedlings!
Queer meditation and relaxing activities are good for the heart and soul! ー( ´ ▽ ` )ノ Quality of life improved – Quality of life – アップ! I bought seed packets at Winco a few weeks back. On an impulse while walking through the market I got lost in the various pictures of what one could grow. Though curious about actually growing pumpkins, I knew that tomatoes or cucumbers would be more vestment than I could do – much less space I had to work with… the flowers on the other hand were plausible. My impulse investment in time and pay-out this last year were bird feeders, bird feed, and…

Where’s the Movement?
In this day and age an important question for decisions on life, lifestyle, and your legacy in this world is “Where’s the Movement?” Where are you Going? Who or What do you Serve? It is in the active support and participation with surrounding communities, environments, families, and friends that we see the greatest impacts in our world and in the lives of others. Ask yourself: Where’s the movement in your life? are you thriving? or just surviving?

Moments in Life
There are moments in life where you get an impression or reflection of what might come. I have had an impression that some day I will live another life. One beyond the one I live now. One with new relationships that will be important, relevant, and special in their own way. … at the very least these will and can happen – in the end. That is what is important to remember.

Meaninglessness
On a somewhat abandoned factory exterior facing wall someone spray-painted the word, in its entirety, “MEANINGLESSNESS”. I sit, typing in my somewhat dilapidated apartment, a six year anniversary upon us, and a pretty bleak future of opportunities, goals, and dreams. I am not what my family tradition and identity had brought me up to be, but I was definitely molded by those experiences and that history to be basically the person I am today. Kind, sensitive, somewhat indecisive –and sexually, philosophically, intelligently, and productively CONSTIPATED. I identify as part of the queer community now, yes, but what does that mean to me? What does that mean to my family? and…

Soreness
I am so sore from today. Not sure if it was the whiskey… not enough sleep -or good sleep… or not enough movement (walking, stretches, exercise) Accomplished a lot more than I intended, but still have some important items to do… (e.g. laundry of work clothes)

Concentration
Concentration is difficult in this day and age! There is a lot of ways to divide our time and countless ways of instructing, training, applying oneself to the task at hand – but actually following through on something – especially if you’re a chronic self-starter like me – you find yourself surrounded by projects that were started, or in the steps of getting to that point – but never finished. In addition to these steps in modernization and technologies – the accessibility to others through social media and just electronics (i.e. phones, e-mail, notification bumps, pings, computers) is OVERWHELMING for any human being – hearkening back to when Drew Barrymore…
